Mediate to OpenX

The following instructions apply to publishers mediating inventory to OpenX with ONE by AOL: Mobile.

Mediating your inventory to OpenX* using the ONE by AOL: Mobile platform takes just a few steps:

  1. Collect your Ad Unit ID and Ad Unit Type from OpenX.
  2. Add those IDs to your ONE by AOL: Mobile waterfall.

* Note: OpenX supports banner, rectangle, interstitial and native ad units at this time.

Mediate AOL to OpenX

To connect OpenX with ONE by AOL: Mobile, you will need to insert a few IDs into our Network Setup Module.

ID Description
Ad Unit ID The unique identifier for your ad unit (a.k.a placement or tag) in OpenX. Available in the View Site screen for your ad unit
Ad Unit Type The type of ad unit in OpenX (either mw for mobile web or app for an application). Find it on the View Site screen of your ad unit.

Update OpenX

Login to your OpenX account. Follow the steps on OpenX’s website (External Link) to view your ad unit(s) and collect the Ad Unit ID and Ad Unit Type information.

Get Set Up in ONE by AOL: Mobile

Log into ONE by AOL: Mobile
Add a new source to a placement you’ve already created.
Click the drop-down menu for SELECT AD SOURCE and select Ad Network.
From the Ad Network drop-down menu select Tapit!
Add the Zone ID and Name your ad source.
Scroll down to the Reporting tab, enter your OpenX login credentials to enable reporting in the AOL UI. MedToOpenX_Reporting.png
Note: This information is used to optimize your ad placement eCPMs in our tiered waterfall.
Select a placement type from the drop down then click Save & Monetize.

On the next page, drag your new ad source entry onto the tier in the waterfall.

Done! You are now set to deliver OpenX ads as well as ONE by AOL: Mobile ads to your inventory, and view reporting from both in the ONE by AOL: Mobile UI.
